How Can severe Wrist Pain Be Treated?

Hi - experienced high level of pain in wrist and hand and couldn t pick up anything, type or move right hand. After icing, felt like bones in wrist slightly moved and can move my hand, slight tingling but pain is almost gone. Second time in 24 hour period this has happened. Do I need to see a doctor or is this part of the aging process - 63 yr old female - golfer. Have lymphedema in right arm and it is my right wrist where the problem is occurring.

Hi,

Sounds to be related to nerve compression, arthritis related or secondary to proximal lymphedema.

Though primary relief with ice and analgesics, an examination with ortho specialist is mandatory to get an X-ray done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
